Falcons Fall Saturday.
The Notre Dame Falcons (0-2) had another solid effort but came up short with a 93-86 loss to Fayetteville State in Winston Salem,NC.
The Broncos (1-1) were led by four players in double figures. Joshua Dawson led the way with 25 points, Tyrell Tate had 19, Torian Showers netted 13, and Timothy Haggie chipped in 11 for the Broncos. The Broncos shot 55 percent from the field. They were just 3-16 from the 3-point line. The Broncos made 71 percent (22-31) at the free throw line. The Broncos won the battle on the boards 40-24. They had nine assists and 16 turnovers.
NDC was paced by 24 points each from Tyree Gaiter and Jarvis Huntley. Lawrnce DeArmond netted 20, while Kaloma Figueroa-Jackson added 10. The Falcons shot 49 percent from the floor. They hi 13-29 from the 3-point line. NDC was 11-16 (69 percent) at the free throw line. The Falcons had 17 assists and 18 turnovers.
