Hot Shooting Falcons Paste Edinboro.

The Notre Dame Falcons (7-2 2-2 MEC) used a big first half and never looked back in a 102-86 pasting of the Edinboro Fighting Scots (2-5) at Murphy Gym on Wednesday night. The win was the third straight for NDC.
The Falcons were led by a trio of players in double figures. Kyauta Taylor paced the Falcons with 33 points- Will Vorhees added 28- and Drew Scarberry scored 11 in the win at Murphy Gym.  NDC shot 50 percent from the field and 50 percent (16-32) from the 3-point line in this one.  The Falcons made good on 15 of 19 free throws (79 percent.)  They dominated the rebounding battle 47-33.  NDC had 23 assists and 10 turnovers.
Jaymon Mason led all scorers with 37 in a losing effort-Mikael Anderson had 20- while the Scots got 11 each from Justin Sylver and Sheldon Brogdon.  The Fighting Scots shot 45 percent from the floor in the defeat- they shot 35 percent (9-26) from the 3-point line.  They made good on 13 of 16 at the free throw line (81 percent.)  They had 12 assists and just eight turnovers.
NDC jumped out to a 12-4 lead to begin this one.  The Fighting Scots would battle for much of the first half and would be within three (24-21) at the 10 minute mark of the half.  NDC would then open up a eight point lead (34-26) with 8:26 to go in the half behind the shooting of Kobie Johnson and Taylor.  Taylor would hit another pair of 3-pointer's to make it 12 point game (40-28.)  NDC would stretch that lead to 16 (49-33) at the intermission.
The second half would see NDC expand the lead to as many as 23 (82-59.)  They would maintain a comfortable lead the rest of the way and get a third straight win.
NDC will be back in action on 12/16 when they head to Canton to battle the Malone Pioneers. Tip time for that one is set for 5 PM.
