Hot Shooting Panthers Outlast Falcons.

The Ohio Dominican Panthers snapped an eight game losing streak and improved to 5-22 on the year with a 88-77 win over Notre Dame College Wednesday. The Panthers scored 52 points in the second half of the win. Five Panthers scored in double figures on the evening. Mark Minch paced the Panthers with 18 points, while Trent Weaver notched a double-double (12 points and 11 rebounds.) A trio of Panthers (John Trew, Chad Nelson, and Jordan Cowgill) chipped in 11 points each. The Panthers shot 62.5 percent for the game, they shot the same percentage from the 3-point line (going 5-8.) The Panthers made good on 71.9 percent at the free throw line (23-32.) They had 10 assists and 17 turnovers. The Panthers crushed the Falcons on the glass 40-28.
  NDC dropped to 10-15 on the year with a second consecutive loss. Lawrence DeArmond led three Falcons in double figures with 18 points. Jarvis Huntley chipped in 16, and Kaloma Figueroa-Jackson notched 10 in a losing effort. The Falcons shot 43.7 percent from the field on the day. They hit just 29.2 percent (7-24) from the 3-point line. The Falcons were not good at the foul line, where they shot 53.3 percent (8-15.) The Falcons had 11 assists and 11 turnovers.
  NDC will be back in action Saturday when they host Trevecca Nazarene in the home finale. Tip time is set for 4 PM.
