Falcons Swat Away Wasps!!

The Notre Dame Falcons men's basketball team (4-0) continued their winning ways Friday with a 92-71 win over the Wasps from Emory and Henry(1-1). The Falcons were once again led by Eric Dummermuth. He had a monster game posting 32 points to go along with 15 rebounds. Dummermuth was a perfect 12 for 12 from the charity stripe in the game. He was 10 for 21 from the floor. Guard Nick McCartney had his best game of this young campaign as he had a 24 point effort. Notre Dame shot 51 percent from the floor and also was a very solid 29 of 34 (85 percent) at the charity stripe. This is a very encouraging sign for a Falcons squad that has struggled at the foul line in the early season.

The Wasps only had one player (Terrance Grigg) in double figures with 16 points. Three players chipped in 9 for Emory& Henry. The Wasps shot 37 percent from the field and struggled going 8 of 32 from three point territory. The inside game was the difference in this one. Notre Dame was +16 on points in the paint and +13 in second chance points. The Falcons will take on Westminster (PA) on Saturday. Tip time is set for 4 PM.
