A Johnson jumped would knot the game at 36 just seconds into the second half. The Cards would respond with a 22-9 run of their own to open up a 13 point lead (58-45) at the 11:56 mark. NDC would go on a 13-0 run of their own capped by a Taylor 3-pointer that tied the game at 58 After a 5-0 Wheeling run gave them back a five point lead, a conventional 3-point play by Vorhees would get the Falcons within two (63-61.) Then another 3-pointer by Taylor would give the Falcons a brief one point lead (64-63) but the Cards would prove to prevail down the stretch and prove why they came in as the seventh ranked team in the country. A 8-0 Cards run would make it 71-64 and the they would cruise from that point.
NDC will take the rest of the week off before they make the short trip to take on the Lake Erie Storm. Tip time for that one is set for 7 PM on Monday November 28th.
