#15 Findlay Pummels Falcons.

The Notre Dame Falcons have had a tough schedule all year long and if they are not at the top of there game what happened Saturday can happen. NDC fell to 3-7 on the year, as they were pummeled 114-82 by The Findlay Oilers (7-1) in Findlay,OH.
Findlay won for the fourth time in as many tries  at home this season. Dylan Kaufman poured in a game high 29 points to lead the Oilers. Greg Khalig added 19, Jake Heagen netted 16, and Ricardo Smith chipped in 10 for the Oilers. Findlay shot 56 percent on the game, they were also a red hot 54 percent (14-26) from the 3-point line. They also shot 76 percent (22-29) at the foul line. The Oliers won the rebounding battle 47-40. They had 28 assists and 15 turnovers.
NDC was led by Lawrence DeArmond who added to his solid campaign with 23 points. Geovante Rose added 14, while Tyree Gaiter scored 12. The Falcons shot 39 percent from the field- and 31 percent- from the 3-point line.  One bright spot for the Falcons was they made 80 percent of their free throw attempts. They had 12 assists and 15 turnovers.
The Oilers jumped out to a 16-6 lead early and never looked back. DeArmond was the only offense for NDC scoring all six points in the first four and a half minutes. NDc would get to within six (25-19) on a Jarvis Huntley 3-pointer with 12:18 to go in the half. Findlay would get hot again and take a double digit lead into the locker room.
The second half was not pretty for the Falcons as they would trail by as many as 40. The Falcons shot just 36 percent in the second half as opposed to 57 percent for the Oilers.
The Falcons will look to get back on track after the holidays when they face Shepherd (West Va.) at Murphy Gym on January 4th. Tip time is set for 4 PM. You can catch all the action at NotreDameFalcons.com
