Falcons Win Streak Snapped by Point Park!!
The Notre Dame College Falcons had a four game win streak snapped Saturday afternoon as they would drop a game for the first time in America Mideast Conference play. The Falcons would fall to 12-6 (4-1 AMC) while Point Park would improved to 6-8 (2-3 AMC). The Falcons would tally four players in double digit in the 91-82 loss. Eric Dummermuth would have his fifth consecutive double-double with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Nick McCartney would added 19 points and 6 assists while Al Miller would chip in 12 points, and Curtis Mclure would round out the double digit scorers with 10.
Point Park would be led by four players in double numbers as well. T.J Heatherington would lead the way with 21, Eric Johnson would add 20 including 10 for 14 at the charity stripe. Josh Troccio had 13, and Gearlad Warrick would tally a double- double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. The Falcons would out shot Point Park 44.4 percent to 43.8 from the floor. Point Park would go 7 of 17 from three while the Falcons would go just 3 for 11. Point Park shot 69 percent from the field while the Falcons shot 74 percent at the charity stripe. The hosts would win the rebounding battle 46-41. The Falcons would commit 16 turnovers while Point Park had 13. Notre Dame will be back in action Tuesday night with a 7:30 PM road tilt against Damean (NY).
