Falcons Road Woes Continue.

The Notre Dame Falcons (2-8) fell 78-68 to Mercyhurst on Sunday. The loss means that the Falcons are still winless on the road this season.
  The loss was the Falcons fifth straight overall and sixth straight road defeat. The Falcons had three players score in double figures on the day. Tyree Gaiter led NDC with 21 points, Lawrence DeArmond had 13, and Gevonte Rose added 10. Eric Dummermuth led the Falcons with 14 rebounds although he was held to just five points on the day.  The Falcons shot 42 percent (22-52) on the day. They could not find the 3-point stroke on Sunday going just 1-13. The Falcons did have a solid day at the foul line going 23-29.  The Falcons had just nine assists and had trouble taking care of the ball (21 turnovers.) The Falcons won the rebounding battle 38-34.
  The Lakers improved to 7-4 on the year and swept the Falcons. Three Lakers scored in double figures. Luis Leao had 23 to lead all scorers, Callon Dailey had 15, and Paul Bilbo had 14.  The Lakers  shot 42 percent from the floor and made just 2-15 from the 3-point line. They shot 77 percent (26-34) at the free throw line. The Lakers had 16 assists and did a much better job than the Falcons at taking care of the ball (12 turnovers.)
   The Falcons will be glad to turn the page to 2013 when they battle Travecca Nazarene. Tip time is set for 3 PM in Nashiville,Tn.
