For NDC it has been a familiar theme throughout this losing skid as they get off to quick starts and fade in the second half. Eric Dummermuth missed his 12th consecutive game due to injury and it was evident especially on the glass where not a single Falcons had more than four rebounds. A pair of Falcons scored in double figures on the day. Marcquice Taylor had a third consecutive game of 20 points or more, as he posted 21 in the contest. Phil Biggs added 17 for NDC. The Falcons shot 51 percent (25-49) from the floor on the day. They struggled from 3-point land, shooting just 29 percent (4-14). The Falcons struggles at the foul line continued shooting 68 percent (15-22).
The game was close for a half. NDC led by as many as 8 (17-9) in the opening stanza. The Falcons did not score for the final 5:15 of the half and the Jackets would take a 33-28 lead to the locker room. Cedarville would lead by as many as 18 and control the second half for the easy win.
NDC will be back home Wednesday. The Falcons will host Roberts Wesleyan at Murphy Gym. Tip time is set for 7 PM.
