Taylor Earns All MEC Honors.

Tuesday night Notre Dame College senior Kyauta "KT" Taylor learned that he was named All-MEC Honorable Mention when the league named the All Conference teams for mens basketball. The honor completes a stellar career for the senior from Cleveland who went to East Tech High School. Taylor averaged 17.2 points per game on the season.  He was the best free throw shooter in the conference shooting at a 85 percent clip- while he shot 42 percent from the floor on the year.  Taylor also averaged more than two steals a night.
Taylor gave me his thoughts on the season after the senior day win over Urbana Saturday:
" It has been a different season for me. With the injury to Will (Vorhees-) who was lost for the season due to a groin injury- without Ja'Sean (Lewis) who has since left the program) and without Kobie (Johnson) who is no longer on the team I have not been able to get many open looks this season. I would say that I have adapted the best that I can. It has been a rough season. I looked to pass the ball more this year and get more open looks for other guys." Taylor said."
Coach Koenig sang Taylor's praises:
"KT was so good at the top of our 1-3-1 zone Saturday. He will go down as one of the greatest players the school has ever seen." Koenig said."
 Taylor amassed 1932 points which is good for fourth in program history.  301 3-pointer's made which is good for second in program history- 282 assists which is good for third in NDC history- 188 steals which is fourth in school history- 3991 minutes played which is fourth in program history- and- 548 rebounds which is eighth in school history.
