Falcons Bounce Back in Pa!

The Notre Dame Falcons (4-6) bounced back from a tough loss Saturday to get a 75-71 win over Davis and Elkins in the final round of the Mercyhurst Tournament. The Falcons were led by three players in double figures on the afternoon. Eric Dummermuth registered his fifth consecutive double-double scoring 25 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Rodney Mickens and Phill Biggs recorded 12 and 11 points respectively for the Falcons. Taylor Reiger recorded 8 assists for the Falcons as well. The Falcons shot 45% from the field in the game. The "blue and white" made good on 39% of their three point attempts. NDC made 77% (20 of 26) at the foul line. The Falcons also had 15 turnovers in the game.

Davis and Elkins (2-6) only tallied three players in double figures. Ian Pinckney led the way with 22 points for the upstarts from West Virginia. Malik Tinsley added 18, while Tim Turner posted 16. Davis and Elkins shot 46% from the field but made good on just 25% (5-20) from long distance. They were 8-12 (67%) at the free throw line. Davis and Elkins won the battle on the glass 31-29. They also stayed in the game by only committing 8 turnovers.
The Falcons will be back in action Friday night when they will travel to Indiana to face Indiana Wesleyan. Tip time is slated for 7 PM.
