Falcons Hoops Sluggish In Opening Night Loss!

It was the first game of the 2010-2011 basketball season for the Notre Dame Falcons and it looked that way, as the Falcons had 24 turnovers in a 72-59 loss to Missouri Valley College.

The Falcons lost the season opener for the first time since 2007.
Missouri Valley won to improve their early season record to 3-0. Turnovers were the story of the night for both teams. The Vikings had 23 miscues.
The Falcons struggled shooting the ball both from three point land and the free throw line. The Falcons were a dismal 4 for 12 (33%) at the foul line. They were just 7 of 24 (29%) from beyond the arc.
Eric Dummermuth led the way for NDC with 20 points on the evening. Freshman Taylor Rieger netted 12. Notre Dame shot 41% from the field in the ball game. The Falcons will be back in action tomorrow afternoon. Tip time is set for 1 PM from Indiana. The opponent is to be determined.
