Dummermuth's monster night not enough as Falcons fall to Wildcats!

The Notre Dame Falcons (2-4) despite 36 points and 19 rebounds from Eric Dummermuth could not hold onto a four point halftime lead and fell to Daemean (3-6) 77-69 at Murphy Gym.

Both teams shot extremely well in the first half. The Wildcats hit 6 of the first ten shots they attempted from the floor while the Falcons connected on 5 of 9 shots. Dummermuth scored 21 of his 36 points in the first half as the Falcons used to a 19-11 edge on the boards to take the lead into the intermission. The Falcons hit 48% of the shots they attempted in the first half.
NDC would come out in the second half and take a 7 point lead at 41-34 with 18 minutes to play, but it would be all downhill from there for the "blue and white". The Wildcats would go on a 13-4 run to take a 47-45 lead and never look back. NDC would get to within 3 at 56-53 on a conventional three point play by Rodney Mickens with 7:30 to go but that is as close as they would get.
Other than the 36 from Dummermuth only one other Falcon would score in double digits. Freshman Taylor Reiger netted 10 points. Nick McCartney added six points and six assists while Phil Biggs had 7 points and 6 rebounds before fouling out. The Falcons killed themselves by shooting just 15-26 (58%) at the charity stripe. Dummermuth was only 11-18 from the line. The Falcons won the battle on the boards 47-46. NDC also had 15 miscues to just 13 for the Wildcats.
Daemean had three players score in double numbers. Khorri Silcott led the way with 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Wildcats. Dominic Mozzacchi drained four triples on his way to 18 points and M.J.Oridami netted 10.
NDC will be back in action Saturday December 4th when they will travel to Michigan to face the Bulldogs of Adrian College. Tip time on Saturday is set for 7 PM.
