Cardinals Bury Falcons!

The Notre Dame Falcons (1-3) made a 7-0 run early but did not play strong enough defense as they fell 98-74 to Concordia (Mich) at the Cardinal Field House in the 2nd and final game of the AMC/WHAC Challenge. The loss was the second in a row for the blue and white. NDC tallied three players in double figures on the afternoon. Eric Dummermuth led the way with 14 points and 12 rebounds. The Dover,OH native had his third double-double in four games so far on the season. Phil Biggs and Rodney Mickens added 10 points each for the Falcons. The Falcons shot 40% from the floor on the day. They were 6 of 19 from three point land. The Falcons were 14-19 (74%) at the charity stripe.

The Cardinals coming off a last second win on Friday night carried that momentum into Saturday's contest. Concordia built a 12 point lead at the intermission and would double that in the second stanza. Chad McMullen led the way with 21 points for the Cardinals. Austin Cook chipped in 12, John Schaefffer and Andrew Patrick netted 12 and 10 points to round out the Cardinals double digit scorers.
The Falcons will be back in action Tuesday night. The home opener for the blue and white will pit them against Westminster (Pa.). Tip time is set for 7 PM at Murphy Gym.
