Big First Half Not Enough For Falcons!
The Notre Dame Falcons(1-2) had a 13 point lead early in the second half but could not hang on as Siena Heights (2-4) toppled the Falcons 82-75. Eric Dummermuth had a monster first half scoring 21 points but would only have 8 in the second half for his 29 point evening. Phil Biggs had 16 for the blue and white. Dummermuth had 12 rebounds to go with his 29 points. Biggs had 10 boards to go with his 16 points. Taylor Reiger led NDC with 13 rebounds. The Falcons shot 27-61 (44%) in the game. The Falcons were 4 of 16 from long range. The Falcons went 0 of 6 from distance in the second half. NDC continued to succumb to their "Achilles heel" so far this season with 23 turnovers.
Siena Heights came back from a 41-32 halftime deficit to grab the opening game in Concordia,Michigan. Siena Heights shot only shot 29% from the floor in the first half and 25% from three point land. The Saints did an excellent job of taking care of the ball as they only had 7 turnovers. Four players scored in double digits for the Saints. Brent Reynolds led the way with 18 points. Mark Snipes chipped in 15, while Josh Collins and Darren Boswell netted 10 each. NDC will be back in action Saturday at 3 PM when they will battle Concordia (Mich).
